Craig and Cherie La Barbera
Founders
Since 1979, Craig has served in various ministry positions in the church: Greeter, usher, Sunday School teacher, cell group leader, elder, associate pastor. Craig married Cherie in 1994, and in 1996 they pioneered Church of the Cross in Texas and served there till 2001.
Craig and Cherie have combined missions endeavors to Egypt, Germany, Greece, Honduras, Israel, Italy, Kenya, Mexico and Romania. In 2012, Craig and Cherie received a full time call to Kenya, Africa, where they oversee Carry the Light Children's Home, as well as minister the gospel in various locations.
Craig earned a AA degree in Practical Theology from Christ for the Nations in Dallas, Texas in 1979 and a Advanced Pastoral Certificate from Christ for the Nations in 1996. He is ordained with Church of Prayer on Zion in Rockwall, Texas and New Wine Emmanuel Shalom Ministry in Kenya, Africa.
Cherie is gifted in counseling and ministering to women and children. She spent 25 years as a professional nanny as well as having a paramedic background. She has served along side Craig in ministry since 1994. She has extensive child care experience, responsible for the physical, emotional and educational well being of young children for private families. As well as co-pastoring with her husband a International Foursquare Church.
